"We're Back!"

Hello everyone and welcome to our blog! It has been a long time since I have been able to access my blog and this is a test, more or less! You can expect more from me over the coming months and I believe it will be very educational and fun for our friends and families here at Chubby's Tropical Adventures!

For now, I have posted some random pics, however, stay tuned for a more interesting format as we go into the new season. We will include more about shelling, wildlife, fun and adventure on the water around the islands of Ft. Myers Beach and Sanibel.

It has been a wonderful year for us here at Chubby's. What a ride! Fishing, dolphin tours, sunset charters, trips to Cabbage Key, shelling adventures, swimming in crystal clear water and sunshine galore. It's gonna get better and better so come along and enjoy the fun!

This year, in addition to our Private Charters, we have instituted a $50 per person, two hour dolphin or two hour sunset/dolphin tour to accommodate those who are looking for a small group experience but not a private charter. We only take a maximum of 6 people so you can always expect personal service and attention on our cruise. You will share the boat with others but that's not a bad thing.  here is a 2 person minimum for us to cruise for this price (and 6 person maximum).

Just to keep you up to speed, summer time brings afternoon  and evening rain and storms. This limits our ability to provide safe and comfortable cruises at times so we monitor the weather and adjust our cruises as necessary. Your safety is my number one concern! If we can leave the dock we will but I will not hesitate to return to the dock to protect you! We will adjust (prorate) our fee to compensate for an early return. Certainly our goal is to make memories of the "good" kind for you and your family and friends and will do everything in our powers to make sure your experience is the best!

If you work in the hospitality field here on Ft. Myers Beach (and I know who you ARRRRR!), we will be offering "Hospitality Prices" for groups of six during August and September. So get a group together and give me a call I will make it easy on you to go out on a two hour cruise!

Aloha everyone!

Well hello everyone! Here we are in October already and the weather here in Southwest Florida is absolutely beautiful! The rainy season has come to an end, we have dodged storms this year, survived a lot of rain and are into one of our best times of the year!

Fishing is excellent, dolphins are playing, manatees are out all over the bay and people are having fun here at Chubby's Tropical Adventures.

This last month has been slow but has given us an opportunity to get some things accomplished to prepare for our upcoming busy season. The World Cat has a fresh bottom paint and is ready to go and some much needed maintenance (at my home) was completed.

I went from long hair to short hair and much to my surprise it got a lot of attention! I was even compelled to "grow it back" so as of now it is on it's way back. So Captain Dwight will be sporting his long hair again in season.

We have had many new friends join us during the September and October months and are so happy to have had them on board with us.

It is always our pleasure to be able to share our beautiful area with others. Our wildlife and nature abound and to be on the water, sightseeing around Ft. Myers Beach on a nice sunny day is a great way to spend some time.

Thank you all for joining us here at Chubby's and we hope to see you all again. Season is right around the corner so much work to be done so I am out of here for now! SEE YOU ON THE WATER!
